this product serves a purpose-it projects dvds onto screens or walls, but the image is poor and fuzzy, so much so my daughter returned it without using it…..basically not usable, except for kids under 8 who may not object to the poor image. A toy only.
Customer Review: Zoombox Rocks!
I purchased this latest Zoombox as a Christmas gift for my daughter who is a third grade teacher. My previous experiences with this product is through work. I have purchased two of these for my boss, who as well as an engineering company also has a non-profit organization, and uses Powerpoint presentations to show different groups and organizations the accomplishments and future plans of the non-profit. The non-profit builds and supports schools and a medical clinic in Haiti as well as miscellaneous other projects in undeveloped countries. My boss is totally non-computer oriented but has been able to easily use this product many times. He left one of the Zoomboxes in Haiti with one of the non-profit employees to use for classes and presentations. The best thing about the Zoombox is that it works quite well for our needs and is relatively inexpensive unlike other similar products which are costly and which have very expensive replacement parts (such as lenses that cost several hundred dollars).HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS - LOTS OF USES!

This is the first purchase of a digital Home Theater System for me, so I cannot compare. But it sounds pretty good in my 20×20 library.
The price is right!

Customer Review: Great concept, but…
The Denon S-102 is a great system: It has everything you could want in an attractive, simple, and easy to set-up, package. It plays AM/FM, CDs and DVDs, and the sound is amazing. However, for close to a thousand dollars, one would expect a certain level of quiet in the speakers when switching between functions and low-level DVD watching. Thinking I had a lemon (that made noise), I had a new one shipped to me. But the problem was still there - a ‘fluttering’ sound coming from the subwoofer that could best be described a combination of distortion and electrical static. Needless to say, I returned both units. I am in the process of looking for a replacement, perhaps of another brand…

High quality, beautiful picture and awesome sound. The Denon S102 is perfect for the person looking for the absolute best without all the clutter of a 5.1 system and the old looking equipment still on the market today. I am the type of person that researches extensively befor investing into somthing and this system fits my needs perfectly. I paired it up with a Samsung LN-T 4071 and I wanted a clean look to mount on a wall with no wires, stands or a stack of recievers, dvd player vcr etc.. We watch mostly movies dvds and I can honestly say the sound quality rivals that of my 5.1 polk system that was twice the cost. Easy setup took about 15 minuites including taking it out of the box. The first thing you will notice when puting it together is how simple and easy it is and how much attention to detail went into this system. Well worth the cost. In this case less is more… much more.

I am very happy with this product for the money I paid and the result I got in return. I have it installed in my bed room and I project from 12′ and it projects to 70″ x 40″ and talking of high def .. Its just wonderful and you gain 1.1 on your screen.

The only thing which bothered me was the size as (in width); so if you are looking to hook it into the beams for stronger support, beams are usually 12″ apart so If you got the hook into one hook, the other hook will be few inches short, lets say 3/4 inches .. I got over it by installing decorative chandelier chains. It actually looks very nice and my wife didn’t hate it ..

Bottom line, Its a great buy and I have suggested almost all my friends who owns projectors or thinking of getting one. If I may add, do not forget to get free projector mount when you buy this screen. Customer service was great and they shipped my projector mount even before they received serial number of the projector screen from me as par the promotion advertisement..

Thinking of getting one in this price range — go for it, two thumbs up ..

Picked one from local Sams club for 477. In my view this is below average home theatre system.

1. Not so many connections. It should be 1080P/24 and should have HDMI in. Then only you can connect any BD / HD player or PS3 for high quality sound.

2. Sound is fine but not many controls. Not so friendly Remote or on-screen display. Should have EQ displayed at least.

3. Bravia synchronization, Wireless speakers and iPOD doc are nice features I fell for. Anyway spent 3 hours to unpack, install & Learn. I wish to adjust with this system since I do not have much time to return / exchange.

I advise to go for a better BD/HD home theatre system even if you need to wait for. Do not care much for Bravia synchronization though the feature is nice.

I bought the HDX 501W and Im very happy with the sound and picture quality. (It is also compatable with a Blu Ray Player.) It upscales all of my older dvd’s to look new again. However…a few of my older rewrite dvds are not compatable with this player. Set up took me about 3.5 hours and is very simple. Follow the owners manual step by step. Concert dvd’s sound amazing! You can hear every note with a clarity that is similar to being there live. Before buying this system I had purchased a 5.1 Panasonic with wireless speakers and it was horrible. I returned it and found the Sony Bravia to be my new favorite addition to my home. Great system for the price. I love it.

Customer Review: Beware before buying Audio equipment from Amazon!!!
Reconsider buying a audio product from Amazon!!!! Amazon will take returns for 30 days, if something goes wrong after 30 days, you must deal with the Manufacturer. The Onkyo TX-SR505 that I bought broke down after six weeks, I only used it five or six times. I contacted Onkyo, the only way to repair the unit is to send it to a service center. In order to send a receiver to the service center, the cost is $75! I recommend buying from your local Best Buy or Circuit City or other retailer. I would also recommend spending a few more dollars and get a better receiver. I love Amazon, but not for Audio equipment!!!!!
Customer Review: Great bargain
This is a very good receiver for the money, has top notch amplifiers with plenty of power, and pleasing, useful, sound fields. The HCMI pass though is somewhat of a gimmick, so don’t but it for that reason, also I was unable to get the Audyssey speaker set up to work, as you seem to have to have a 7.1 speakers configuration hooked up to make it work properly, I only have a 5 speaker set up, and I had to set up my speakers manually using a sound meter. I am happy with the product though, sound quality on TV, Radio and CD’s are all excellent and smooth. The tuner picks up all the stations I like to listen to. It took about 24 hours of burn in time for the amps to start sounding smooth though, I got kinda worried at first, but they sound smooth and detailed now, as good, if not better than my previous Denon Receiver. Which to me seems to be the only other choice in a receiver like this. If my HD requirements become more robust or new technology becomes attractive to me, I may have to opt for a more sophisticated receiver in the future, but for right now its fine, and I am very pleased with the looks, technology and quality of this machine.

A fantastic product. Sounds good with movies, music or just the television. I bought this at Sam’s Club for $289.00. I highly recommend this system. I am picky about sound and this was better then anything else I had tried in that price range.

I was not totally satisfied with this product. I have assembled 100’s it items at home before but still the assembly of this one was quite confusing. The major source of disappointment was the way the stand looks once assemebled. Once completely assmembled, the glass base of the stand doesn’t sit parallel to the floor, rather it slopes towards the front, making the entire stand look quite awkward. None of the pictures on the box or in the assemebly instructions clearly show this. So I had to struggle with it for while, trying to figure out what I was doing “wrong”. (why it won’t sit flat with the floor). Finally called the customer support only to be told that the “slopped base” was by design. So be aware of this

Very sturdy and beautiful stands- several different ways to mount speakers, both bottom and back mounts. However, the assembly instructions leave a lot to be desired. Read the written instructions and look at the diagram in the back and you’ll be able to figure out where most of the parts go. Going on just the written instructions will leave important parts out

Customer Review: Dont buy this product
bought the system day after Christmas and been using it since then. Having all sorts of problems with it. First the HDMI input does not work properly. It would sometimes detect the TV is connected and most of the time, it would not. So i have to reset the HDMI cable for it to work. Second, the audio and video is not synchronized. Its like watching a foreign film that’s dubbed in english. Third, the system would just stop working and I have to reset the center unit to make it to work again. And most importantly, JVC customer support was there to waste your time. Canned replies and they don’t even try to troubleshoot the problem, they would just point you to an authorized service center which is 50 miles away. I chose this because of the features only to find out most of the features don’t work. Now the system doesnt power up. Warranty is 12 months for parts but only 3 months for labor. so now I either have to pay for labor or just throw this piece of junk and get a better system… anything but JVC.
